Refund Eligibility

Refund eligibility depends on several factors, including the type of travel product purchased, the timing of the cancellation, and the reason for the request. Queen of Travel categorizes their offerings as follows:

·         Package Tours: These often have stricter cancellation terms due to pre-booked hotels, transportation, and activities.

·         Flight Tickets: Airline policies generally dictate the refund schedule and amount, especially for non-refundable fares.

·         Hotel Reservations: Refunds usually depend on the hotel's own policies, which may include free cancellation up to a certain deadline.

·         Car Rentals and Excursions: These services may allow partial or full refunds if canceled within a specified period.

·         Villa/AirBnb/Vrbo Reservations: Refunds usually depend on the villa’s own policies, which may include free cancellation up to a certain deadline.

Standard Refund Procedures

Initiating a Refund Request

Clients should contact Queen of Travel as soon as they decide to cancel or alter their travel plans. We typically require:

·         A formal, written request, often via email or through an online portal.

·         Booking reference or confirmation number.

·         Clear explanation of the reason for cancellation or refund request.

Processing Timeline

·         We aim to process refund requests within 7 to 30 business days, depending on the complexity and the involvement of third-party suppliers.

·         Delays may occur if documentation is incomplete or if the supplier (e.g., airline, hotel) has a longer processing time.

Refund Amounts

The amount eligible for refund is determined by:

·         Queen of Travel’s own policy and that of its travel  supplier and vendors.

·         The timing of the cancellation or closer cancellations often result in lower refunds.

·         Non-refundable deposits, administrative fees, or penalties outlined in the booking agreement.

Non-Refundable Items

Not all components of a travel booking are refundable. The following is a list of commonly non-refundable travel fees/charges/bookings:

·         Special promotional fares, non-refundable deposits (cruises, group trips), and some airline ticket types.

·         Visa fees, insurance premiums, and certain taxes.

·         Third-party service charges incurred during booking.

Partial Refunds and Credits

In situations where a full refund is not possible, agencies may offer partial refunds or credits for future travel.

·         Credits are typically valid for 12 to 24 months.

·         Partial refunds may be calculated based on unused portions of a travel package.

·         Clients should be aware of any restrictions associated with credits, including blackout dates or specific destinations.
