NYC August 2024

ree

Im back with a review of my recent trip to New York City. I did a quick 4 day, multi purpose stay. Yall know I love Delta. My flight was upgraded to first class going and coming back home. And you know I always do the Sky Club, every time I fly.

I arrived and took a taxi to my hotel, Hendricks Hotel on 38th. I picked the hotel as it was a short walk to Time Square and to my NY work office.

This trip was personal and work related as I was attending a dinner party for my friend turning 50 and I visited the NY office to see a few of my co-workers I work with almost daily.

I met my really good friend Veronica at a pizza spot between her hotel and mine. She was there with her husband since the party girl was her big sister. The pizza was delicious.

The birthday dinner was attending by 9 people and the birthday girl was so surprised. We had dinner at the Session restaurant located in the Hard Rock Hotel. After dinner we went to the rooftop for some pictures. We did a cute birthday toast with champagne at Times Square.

Sunday was a day for me to get some site seeing. I did a 3 hour walking tour all over NY. We started off at Wall Street, saw the Bull. We visited the 911 Memorial which is now waterfalls where the towers fell after the attacks. The Oculius is a beautiful building across the street from the memorial. Inside are standard shops and easy access to the subway. We took the subway to Summit One. It a 90+ story building with wonderful views.

To end the Sunday, I grabbed a bit to eat at Spyglass Rooftop Bar next to my hotel. The drinks and good were really good. A+.

Monday was my day in the office. The views from the 60+ floor was so cool. Outside the building is the Vessel. Such beautiful artwork.

For my last night in the city, I grabbed a bite to eat and a drink at my hotel which also has a rooftop bar. Really good views.

Flying back home I checked out the Amex Centurion Lounge. It was nice and the food and drinks were really good.

I really enjoyed NYC and will be back in a few months.
