Playa Del Carmen/Cancun - Mexico December 2020

This was my 2nd time this 2020 in Mexico and my 6th time overall in this beautiful country. Over the course of my 5 days in Playa Del Carmen, I talked to or actually got to see/hookup with over 10 BIT members that were also there at the same time. We had a Whatsapp chat going about 1 week before departure. I invited several solo ladies to that chat. A few even connected for a yacht party and ATVs hosted by BLACKTRAVELGRAM - DeAaron. Several of us meet up later for a birthday party and hookahs.  

Day 1 - Arrived at Cancun airport, prepaid for transfer to hotel when I booked my hotel. Check-in HOTEL - Ocean Maya Royale Oceanview My balcony overlooked the main pool and ocean. Hotel is all-inclusive and adults only. Had dinner with another solo lady traveler from BIT at one of the 5 restaurants at the hotel. Surprise - my coworker showed up. So glad she came. While we sat to chat another solo lady traveler from BIT asked if anyone at the table was named KIM!!! This happened more than once at the hotel. I felt like a travel celebrity. 

Day 2 -  Enjoyed the amenities at the resort. Pool, beach, hammocks and margaritas. Had breakfast and lunch at the resort while I lounged and chilled. Got a 2 hour Swedish & Reflexology massage on the beach. Ate dinner at the japanese restaurant at the resort - hibachi grill style. Met up with another group of ladies from BIT, that also stayed at my hotel, at Prana hookah lounge downtown PDC across from Prime. Taxi from our hotel to Prana was $25 1-way. We were there for the birthday boy Drew who is also in BIT. There were about 4 December babies in the house. They got bottle service (Patron, Champagne) and several hookahs. 

Day 3 - Lounged at the resort all day long. Did want to leave. Took a quick walk down the beach to Sweetwater Lagoon. The water was so clear and cold. Most people are unaware of this little secret lagoon. Continued to drink and eat ALL I WANTED for the remainder of the day.

Day 4 - Another day of chilling at the resort. Got another beach massage this time for 1 hour. Took lots of pictures and videos for content for my travel company - QUEEN OF TRAVEL. The hammock and margaritas were my best friends. 

DAy 5 - Ate my last breakfast and had my last 2 margaritas. Check-out of hotel. Prepaid transfer took me back to the airport. 

Things to know:

• Get a rental car if you are not at an all-inclusive resort. 

• There will be kids all over the club and beach areas asking for money or for you to buy something. They need the money. Please give them any change you can spare. We dont want to be there for the fun and not help the people of the country we are visiting.

• Get lots of bottled water or ask if the water is purified. I had no stomach issues at all this time. 

• Have a general idea of what you want to do and where you want to go even if your plan is to sit by the beach. I did 100% of what I wanted to do every single day that I was there. 

• This was a solo trip but you may not be able to tell by my pictures. Don’t wait on friends to take an international trip. Get those stamps and live your life.
